Affordable Integrated PC for Hazardous Areas from Daisy Data Displays

Compact, User- Friendly Design and Reduced Power Consumption Improve Reliability and Cost

Daisy’s Labmate 4720KB Series features a compact design with optional 15”, 19”, or 22” display sizes for use where space is limited. Designed for ease-of-use in hazardous areas, this workstation has an integrated industrial membrane keyboard with sealed optical trackball to provide user-friendly pointing capabilities. The 4720KB is also available with touch screen options, such as glass-on-glass resistive touch for use with gloved hands in locations with strict safety protocols.

All units feature internal DC fans to reduce heat build-up, which can prevent unnecessary and costly downtime. Additional cost containment comes from the flat panel technology that helps lower operating costs by reducing power consumption and heat generation.

The 4720KB comes standard with a low-power Dual Core Atom™ 1.8GHz processor, a 320GB hard drive (minimum), and 2 GB of RAM (minimum). The low-power processor provides reliability at high ambient temperatures, eliminating the extra expense of a cooling device.

The 4720KB is FM-approved (non-incendive) and meets Class I, II & III, Division 2, Group A-D, F and G requirements for hazardous area safety. For protection from chemicals and corrosion, workstations are housed in an aseptic NEMA 4X stainless steel enclosure with a hinged front door and polycarbonate viewing window. Each enclosure has beveled edges and slanted tops that are easy to clean and prevent standing liquids. This computer is available with a variety of options and can be customized to meet individual aseptic needs.

“The Labmate 4720KB Series was designed to be a reliable and cost-effective option for hazardous industrial areas,” says David “Avi” Shefet, President. “Many of the key features, such as flat panel technology and low-power processor, allow these units to operate dependably under demanding conditions while providing cost advantages.”
