In the face of uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 , Daisy continues to prioritize the needs of its employees and customers. It is for this reason that Daisy Data Displays remains open for business and focused on manufacturing industrial and rugged technology for mission critical and life-essential businesses.

We feel that it is both our social and corporate responsibility to flatten the curve, while also working to supply life-essential businesses with reliable technology to help protect our communities with military, medical and pharmaceutical resources.

We are focused on maintaining our manufacturing and production facilities. As such, we adjusted our normal operating procedures in accordance with CDC guidelines. We implemented sanitary maintenance procedures throughout our facility for our team members whose roles require them to be physically present, while launching virtual collaboration tools for the departments whose workload can be accomplished remotely.

YORK HAVEN, PA – April 6, 2020 – Daisy Data Displays, a leading engineering and manufacturing firm of industrial computers, has repurposed its 3D printers and laser cutters to produce filtered face masks and face shields for healthcare workers in local hospitals.  Typically used for in-house printing of components and prototypes for industrial computer manufacturing, Daisy is coordinating with Wellspan Health to print filtered 3D masks (similar in design to the N95 masks) and protective face shields. Daisy wants to ensure that healthcare workers at local hospitals receive protective gear as they are on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis.

“When media outlets began to cover the spread of COVID-19 throughout the mid-state, it became apparent that we needed to do whatever we could to support the healthcare workers on the front
lines of this crisis.” explained David Shefet, President of Daisy Data Displays. “We began to research designs for protective face shields and reached out to both area hospital systems, as well as those in New York City to understand what role we could play in producing necessary medical gear. After many conversations and much research, it became evident that a N95 style face mask with a filter was the best solution. We immediately sourced material and started 3D printing the filtered masks and laser cutting plastic face shields.”

As the virus spreads, Daisy anticipates that more hospitals and healthcare providers will need these resources and is working to print upwards of 160 filtered masks per week and laser cut
hundreds of face shields. To learn more about the design and production of these filtered face masks and face shields, contact Daisy at hr@daisydata.com.
